Shanghai Sharks Secure 10th Straight Win Over Beikong Royal Fighters

The Shanghai Sharks extended their winning streak to ten games after defeating the Beikong Royal Fighters 108-96 at home on Friday in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

The first quarter was a tight contest, with both teams exchanging leads multiple times. Beikong gained a slight edge in the final three minutes, finishing the period ahead 32-28.

In the second quarter, Jared Sullinger and Chen Guohao powered through the Sharks’ defense, helping the Royal Fighters build a 49-41 lead. However, Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Eric Bledsoe stepped up for Shanghai, igniting a 10-2 run that turned the tide. Despite a timeout from Beikong, they couldn’t halt the Sharks’ momentum. Shanghai went into halftime leading 64-61.

The Sharks continued their dominance in the third quarter, utilizing patient offense to outscore the visitors with a 28-14 run, increasing their lead to 86-75 by the end of the period.

The final quarter showcased an intense battle under the rim between Sullinger and Lofton. While Sullinger’s experience challenged Lofton in the paint, the younger player showcased versatility by hitting jump shots and capitalizing on fast breaks. His efforts ensured that Shanghai maintained their double-digit lead, ultimately cruising to a 12-point victory.

With this win, the Shanghai Sharks solidify their position as top contenders in the CBA, demonstrating teamwork and resilience as they continue their impressive streak.
