ISU Chief Kim Jae-youl on China’s Winter Sports Boom and Future Hopes

President of the International Skating Union (ISU), Kim Jae-youl, recently sat down with CGTN Sports Scene to discuss the remarkable growth of winter sports in China and his aspirations for future international competitions.

In recent years, China has witnessed a surge in interest and participation in winter sports, especially following the success of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Kim praised China’s commitment to developing winter sports infrastructure and nurturing young talent. He noted, “China’s dedication to promoting winter sports is inspirational. Kim also highlighted the importance of China’s role in the evolution of winter sports.
