Wang Chuqin and Wang Manyu Triumph at Asian Cup Table Tennis Finals

China’s table tennis stars Wang Chuqin and Wang Manyu dominated the Asian Cup finals in Shenzhen on Sunday, clinching the men’s and women’s titles respectively with stellar performances.

Wang Chuqin, ranked second in the world, swept aside compatriot Liang Jingkun in a decisive 4-0 victory, showcasing his aggressive play style and unyielding determination. The match scores were 11-7, 11-2, 16-14, 11-5.

“I didn’t disappoint you,” Wang Chuqin expressed to his enthusiastic supporters. “I considered myself a challenger, not a favorite. So I fought for each point.”

In the women’s final, Wang Manyu denied top-ranked Sun Yingsha a triumphant debut at the tournament, also sealing her win in straight sets with scores of 11-5, 11-9, 11-6, 11-6 in just 40 minutes.

“I executed my strategy and wasn’t hesitant at all,” Wang Manyu reflected after her match.

Earlier on Sunday, China’s Lin Shidong and Kuai Man secured bronze medals in the men’s and women’s events, further highlighting China’s dominance in the sport.

The victories of Wang Chuqin and Wang Manyu underscore China’s continued excellence in table tennis on the Asian stage.
