Cristiano Ronaldo Shines As Al Nassr Secure Routine Win over Al Wehda

Cristiano Ronaldo Leads Al Nassr to Victory Over Al Wehda

Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his brilliance once again, leading Al Nassr to a 2-0 victory over Al Wehda in the Saudi Pro League. The win keeps Al Nassr’s title aspirations alive as they climb up the league standings.

The first half was a tight affair with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. The breakthrough came just three minutes into the second half. Substitute Angelo delivered a perfectly placed cross into the box, and Ronaldo rose above the defenders to head home, putting Al Nassr ahead.

Determined to fight back, Al Wehda increased their attacking efforts. Striker Morad Khodari came close to equalizing before the hour mark, but his close-range shot clipped the post and went wide.

In the sixth minute of stoppage time, drama unfolded as Ronaldo’s free-kick struck Al Wehda’s Juninho Bacuna on the arm inside the penalty area. After a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty, citing an unnatural arm position. Displaying true team spirit, Ronaldo handed the penalty duties to Sadio Mane. The former Liverpool star confidently converted the spot-kick, sealing the 2-0 victory for Al Nassr.

The win moves Al Nassr up to third place in the league, eight points behind the leaders with 12 matches remaining. Meanwhile, Al Wehda remains at the bottom of the table, facing a tough battle to avoid relegation.
