Kylian Mbappe has expressed his delight at returning to the France national team as they prepare for their UEFA Nations League match against Croatia. The star forward is eager to contribute after a brief absence from international duty.
“I feel good, I feel happy to be playing football, I feel happy to be here,” Mbappe said during a press conference in Split. “It’s a pleasure to be back with the group.”
The 24-year-old missed previous matches due to injury and rest periods but is now ready to don the French jersey once again. “Most of the teammates who are here, we talk pretty much all the time. I go on holiday with some of them. The situation may have been unclear to people outside, but it’s always been clear internally,” he added.
Looking ahead to the upcoming fixture, Mbappe is focused on helping France secure victory. “A career is not linear. You have to refocus on what makes you happy and get back to work,” he said.
France will face Croatia in Split on Thursday before hosting the return fixture at the Stade de France in Paris three days later.
