Hamilton Wins Chinese F1 Sprint Race for His First Ferrari Victory

Lewis Hamilton Secures First Ferrari Triumph in Chinese F1 Sprint Race

Shanghai, China — Lewis Hamilton clinched his first victory for Ferrari in a thrilling Chinese Formula 1 Sprint Race on Saturday. Starting from pole position, Hamilton surged ahead at the Shanghai International Circuit, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

The seven-time world champion made a brilliant start, taking the lead into the first turn and skillfully managing the gap to Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen. The early laps showcased an intense duel between the two rivals, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

However, the spotlight soon shifted when McLaren’s Oscar Piastri overtook Verstappen on lap 15 at the hairpin of the back straight, seizing second place. The Australian rookie delivered an impressive performance, securing his first podium finish alongside Hamilton and Verstappen.

Piastri’s teammate, Lando Norris, faced challenges after starting sixth. An off-track moment at the turn six hairpin saw him lose positions, but he battled back to finish eighth, overtaking Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll in the closing laps.

Hamilton’s victory comes after a disappointing season opener in Australia, where he finished tenth in his debut race for Ferrari. The Shanghai win not only boosts his confidence but also signals a promising season ahead for the Italian team.

“It’s an incredible feeling to win here in Shanghai with Ferrari,” Hamilton said after the race. “The team has worked tirelessly, and this victory is a testament to everyone’s hard work.”
