Shandong Taishan Stun Meizhou Hakka with Incredible 4-3 Comeback

In an unforgettable Chinese Super League clash, Shandong Taishan mounted a spectacular comeback to defeat Meizhou Hakka 4-3, overturning a three-goal deficit on the road.

Meizhou Hakka dominated the early stages, with goals from Yue Tze-Nam, Yang Chaosheng, and Rodrigo Henrique putting them 3-0 ahead within 34 minutes. Just before halftime, Valeri Qazaishvili pulled one back for Shandong, giving them a glimmer of hope as they entered the break trailing 3-1.

The second half saw Shandong introduce Li Yuanyi and Xie Wenneng, injecting new energy into the team. In the 54th minute, Li’s corner found Brazilian striker Zeca, who volleyed home to reduce the deficit to 3-2. As the clock ticked down, Zeca struck again in the 88th minute, heading in a cross from Liu Yang to level the scores.

The dramatic turnaround was completed deep into stoppage time. In the 98th minute, Li’s perfectly-weighted free kick found Brazilian defender Gazal, who headed in the winner, sealing a remarkable 4-3 victory for Shandong Taishan—their second consecutive win of the season.

Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan were held to a 1-1 draw by Chengdu Rongcheng in their first home game. The match featured a heartfelt retirement ceremony for veteran Yu Dabao, who played 229 matches for Guoan over nearly a decade. Fabio’s early penalty gave Guoan the lead, but after captain Michael Ngadeu received a red card in the 65th minute, Chengdu capitalized, with Felipe equalizing in the 78th minute.

In other matches, Dalian Yingbo secured their first top-flight win by defeating Changchun Yatai 2-0, while Shanghai Shenhua came from behind to beat Henan FC 3-1 on the road.
