Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his star power once again, scoring twice to lead Al-Nassr to a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Al-Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.
Despite trailing at halftime after Al-Riyadh’s winger Faiz Selemani capitalized on a rebound to put the visitors ahead, Al-Nassr surged back in the second half with Ronaldo at the forefront.
The Portuguese legend equalized with a calm finish following a clever cross from Sadio Mane. Moments later, Ronaldo dazzled the home crowd with a spectacular volley that soared into the top corner, securing the lead for Al-Nassr.
In stoppage time, Ronaldo nearly added an assist when he set up teammate Jhon Duran, but the Colombian’s shot went over the bar. Al-Riyadh threatened late as substitute Enes Sali struck the post with a curling effort, but Al-Nassr held firm to claim all three points.
This victory marks Al-Nassr’s 17th league win of the season, keeping them in third place, eight points behind leaders Al-Ittihad.
