Last-Minute Goal Seals Victory for Shanghai Shenhua Over Zhejiang Pro
In a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Shanghai Shenhua pulled off a thrilling 3-2 win against Zhejiang Pro at home on Saturday. The game was decided by a dramatic stoppage-time goal from Chen Jinyi in the 98th minute.
The action began early with Shanghai taking the lead in the 21st minute. Joao Teixeira ignited the crowd with a stunning long-range strike, putting Shenhua ahead 1-0.
Zhejiang Pro fought back in the second half, equalizing in the 69th minute. Aaron Boupendza set up Wang Yudong, who slotted the ball home to make it 1-1. Just two minutes later, Zhejiang took the lead when a cross from Tong Lei led to an own goal by Shenhua’s goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong, turning the score to 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
Shanghai Shenhua wasn’t ready to concede defeat. In the 77th minute, they leveled the match after a misplay from Zhejiang’s goalkeeper Huo Shenping. His failed punch sent the ball straight to Yu Hanchao, who skillfully lobbed it into the net, bringing the score to 2-2.
The climax came in stoppage time when Chen Jinyi emerged as the hero. With only seconds left, he found the back of the net from close range, sealing a 3-2 victory for Shenhua. The win keeps Shanghai Shenhua unbeaten and atop the league table with 14 points.
Elsewhere in the Chinese Super League, second-placed Shandong Taishan dominated Shenzhen Peng City with a 4-0 victory. Wuhan Three Towns broke their five-match winless streak by defeating newly-promoted Yunnan Yukun 3-1. Dalian Yingbo and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger played to a 1-1 draw, Meizhou Hakka fell 3-1 at home to Changchun Yatai, and Qingdao Hainiu remained winless after a 1-0 loss to Chengdu Rongcheng.
