Malaysian badminton sensation Lee Zii Jia is on the road to recovery after an ankle injury sidelined him from the sport he loves. The 27-year-old Olympic bronze medalist recently shared insights into his rehabilitation journey and his aspirations for the future.

“It’s been challenging, but I’m making good progress,” Lee said about his recovery. “Physical therapy and the support from my team have been crucial.”

Beyond his personal comeback, Lee expressed a strong desire to see greater cooperation between Malaysia and China in badminton. “Both countries have a rich history in the sport. By working together, we can elevate badminton to new heights in Asia,” he noted.

Lee believes that increased communication and joint training programs could benefit athletes on both sides. “Sharing techniques, strategies, and experiences can only make us stronger competitors and ambassadors for the sport,” he added.

As he looks forward to returning to the court, Lee remains optimistic about the future. “I’m excited to get back and compete at the highest level. There’s so much potential for growth, not just for me but for badminton across our region.”
