China has announced it will conditionally resume imports of Japanese aquatic products from certain regions, following safety assurances and monitoring of Fukushima’s water discharge.

A magnitude-4.7 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan’s Fukushima prefecture on Monday. No immediate damage or injuries were reported as authorities monitor the situation.

UN Nuclear Chief Rafael Grossi will visit Fukushima to address the massive challenge of dealing with 13 million cubic meters of radioactive soil from the 2011 disaster.
