China successfully launched a new experimental satellite for communication technology from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Tuesday. The satellite was sent into space aboard a Long March-3B carrier rocket at 1:56 p.m. Beijing Time and has reached its planned orbit.
The satellite, the 13th of its kind, is designed to enhance satellite communication, radio and television broadcasting, and data transmission services. It will also conduct related technology tests, contributing to the advancement of China’s space communication capabilities.
This launch marks the 549th mission of the Long March series carrier rockets, highlighting China’s continued progress in space exploration and technological development.
