China’s aviation industry has reached a new milestone as its homegrown AG100 civil primary trainer aircraft officially enters commercial operation.
Developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the AG100 is a single-engine piston aircraft designed primarily for pilot training and private flights. It recently began commercial service at a pilot training base of the AVIC Flight Academy, marking a significant step forward for China’s general aviation sector.
The AG100 fills a vital gap in China’s civil primary trainer aircraft capabilities. Built with a composite structure of fiberglass and carbon fiber, the three-seat aircraft measures 7.26 meters in length and boasts a wingspan of 10.42 meters.
AVIC has emphasized that efforts will continue to improve and optimize the AG100, aiming for commercial success and contributing to the growth of the country’s low-altitude economy and general aviation industry.
With the AG100 taking to the skies, China is advancing its aviation ambitions and opening new horizons for aspiring pilots nationwide.
