European Countries Welcome Chinas Expanded Visa free Policy

China Expands Visa-Free Travel to Nine More Countries

China is opening its doors wider than ever before! Starting November 30, 2024, citizens from nine additional countries, including eight in Europe, can visit China visa-free for up to 30 days. This exciting move aims to boost tourism, business, and cultural exchanges.

The newly added countries are Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, and Latvia. This brings the total number of nations in China’s visa-free agreement to 38.

Malta’s Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg hailed the policy as “another milestone” in strengthening ties between the two countries. “It simplifies travel for our citizens and paves the way for deeper cooperation and new international trade opportunities,” he said.

Croatian tour guide Branka Peric sees the visa-free policy as “good news” for tourism workers. “China’s opening up will result in more friendly ties between China and Croatia,” she noted.

Xie Dong, a Chinese tour guide for Latvia and Estonia, believes the policy will boost tourism between the Baltic countries and China. He hopes for direct flights to further enhance connectivity.

Nina Merlusca, a destination manager in Romania, is optimistic about increased cooperation. “Based on my experiences, China is a very friendly country to tourists,” she shared.

This policy reflects China’s commitment to fostering global connections. With easier access, more people can explore China’s rich culture, history, and vibrant cities.
