Celebrating Mei Zhu: Guangzhou’s Panda Cub Turns Six Months

Mei Zhu, the adorable giant panda cub at Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park in Guangdong Province, has reached her six-month milestone! A joyful celebration was held on Wednesday to mark this special occasion.

Born on June 18, Mei Zhu has quickly become a favorite among visitors and staff alike. Her mother, Meng Meng, is the eldest of the world’s only giant panda triplets, who turned 10 years old this year. The pair’s health and happiness are thanks to the dedicated care of specialized keepers at the park.

Since her birth weight of just 178 grams, Mei Zhu has grown impressively, now weighing 10.88 kilograms. Her growth symbolizes hope for the conservation of giant pandas and brings joy to animal lovers around the world.
