Spring has painted Qinhuangdao with vibrant colors as two of its counties celebrate spectacular floral festivals. In Qinglong County, over 6.6 square kilometers of pear trees are in full bloom for just 15 days. Among these, around 5,000 are century-old trees, creating a breathtaking sea of white blossoms that stretches as far as the eye can see.
The 17th annual Pear Blossom Festival has become a major attraction, drawing more than 10,000 visitors daily. Tourists and locals alike wander through the fragrant orchards, capturing the perfect spring photos and enjoying cultural performances and local delicacies that highlight the region’s heritage.
Meanwhile, Changli County’s Shuiyan Temple is adorned with the delicate hues of ancient magnolias. A dozen magnolia trees, some centuries old, are flowering for 20 days, casting a serene and mystical aura over the historic temple grounds. The juxtaposition of the temple’s architecture with the natural beauty of the magnolias offers a unique experience for visitors.
Together, these two destinations have created a dual floral tourism route that showcases the natural splendor of Qinhuangdao. Travelers can immerse themselves in the fleeting beauty of pear and magnolia blossoms, making it an unmissable spring journey.
