As the breeding season begins anew, the crested ibis is no longer confined to its original home in Yangxian County, Shaanxi Province. Populations have flourished and expanded across several regions in China, including Shaanxi, Zhejiang, and Henan provinces.
Remarkably, the resurgence of this species has extended beyond China’s borders, reaching as far as Japan and South Korea. This expansion reflects the success of international collaboration in wildlife conservation.
