Live China pacific Island Nations Media Dialogue

Journalists Unite Ahead of China-Pacific Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

Journalists from China, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Nauru have come together across the vast Pacific Ocean to explore truthful climate storytelling and development narratives. The gathering precedes the third China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which will be hosted by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Xiamen, Fujian Province, from May 28 to 29.

The media dialogue aims to foster collaboration and strengthen ties between China and Pacific Island nations. Participants are set to discuss ways to effectively communicate climate issues and promote multidimensional development stories that resonate with audiences in both regions.

Liu Jiaxin from CGTN is hosting the live media dialogue. The event provides a platform for journalists to share experiences, exchange ideas, and build connections that will enhance reporting on pressing global challenges like climate change.

This initiative highlights the commitment of China and Pacific Island countries to work together in addressing common concerns and promoting sustainable development. By uniting media professionals, the dialogue seeks to create a more informed and engaged public on issues affecting communities across the Pacific.
