China’s State Council Information Office held a press conference on Friday to discuss enhancing economic and trade cooperation with South Asian countries. The briefing comes ahead of the 9th China-South Asia Exposition, signaling a push to strengthen regional ties.

Yan Dong, vice minister of commerce, and Liu Yong, vice governor of Yunnan Province, addressed the media, highlighting opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, and development. They emphasized the importance of mutual growth and shared prosperity between China and its South Asian neighbors.
