China and Russia Conduct Joint Air Patrol, Say No Third Party Targeted

In a move that’s part of their annual cooperation plan, China and Russia conducted a joint strategic air patrol over the Sea of Japan and the western Pacific Ocean. The patrol, carried out on November 29 and 30, is not aimed at any third party and is unrelated to current international and regional situations, according to Chinese defense spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang.

“The strategic patrol jointly conducted by the two air forces effectively tested and enhanced our joint training and operation capabilities,” Zhang said on Sunday. The exercise showcases the growing military cooperation between the two nations.

The joint patrol aimed to strengthen mutual trust and deepen practical cooperation, contributing to regional peace and stability, Zhang added. Both countries emphasized that the operation complies with international law and does not pose a threat to other nations.
