BEIJING, China — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning reaffirmed on Monday that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory.
During a daily press briefing, Mao Ning addressed recent discussions about Taiwan’s status. “There is no such thing as ‘Taiwan’s ministry of defense,’” she stated, emphasizing that the island belongs to China.
“The Taiwan question is China’s internal affair, and China will firmly defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Mao continued, highlighting the government’s steadfast position on the matter.
The remarks come amid ongoing debates over Taiwan’s international standing. China’s stance remains clear: any issues concerning Taiwan are purely domestic and not subject to external interference.
