Wisconsin School Shooting Leaves Five Dead, Including Juvenile Suspect

A tragic shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on Monday has left five people dead, including the suspected shooter, and at least five others injured, authorities said.

Children were among those killed at the private institution, which educates around 400 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, according to the Madison Police Department.

Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes announced during a press conference that the suspected shooter, identified as a juvenile, was found dead by officers upon their arrival at the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

At least five individuals were transported to local hospitals with injuries sustained during the incident. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Videos shared on social media depicted a massive emergency response, with police, ambulance, and fire services surrounding the school.

“Multiple injuries have been reported,” the Madison Police stated on social media. “This remains an active and ongoing investigation.”

Authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The community is urged to remain vigilant as the investigation continues.
