Four people were killed and five injured in the town of Lgov, located in Russia’s Kursk region, following reported shelling from Ukrainian forces, according to local officials.
Alexander Khinshtein, the region’s acting governor, shared details on Telegram on Wednesday. “A five-story residential building, two single-story residential buildings, and a single-story beauty salon were seriously damaged,” he wrote.
“The blast wave blew out windows in neighboring private residences and damaged at least 12 cars. A small section of a gas pipeline was also destroyed by the blast,” Khinshtein added.
There has been no immediate response from Ukrainian authorities regarding the incident.
