Incumbent President Zoran Milanovic has secured a landslide victory in Croatia’s presidential runoff held on Sunday, according to the State Election Commission (SEC).
With 99.59% of the votes counted, Milanovic garnered an overwhelming 74.67% of the vote, leaving his rival Dragan Primorac with 25.33%, the SEC reported.
Milanovic’s victory marks a significant endorsement of his leadership during his first term. His campaign focused on issues such as economic growth, European integration, and social welfare, resonating with voters across the nation.
