Mbappe Shines As Real Madrid Surge from Behind to Stomp Las Palmas 4 1

Mbappe’s Double Fires Real Madrid to 4-1 Comeback Win Over Las Palmas

Real Madrid stormed back from an early setback to secure a commanding 4-1 victory over Las Palmas on Sunday, with Kylian Mbappé delivering a stellar performance at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The visitors shocked the home crowd by opening the scoring just 25 seconds into the match. Fabio Silva capitalized on a swift cross from Sandro, slotting the ball past Real Madrid’s defense.

Undeterred, Los Blancos intensified their attack. In the 18th minute, Mbappé calmly converted a penalty after Rodrygo was brought down in the box, leveling the score.

With star forward Vinícius Júnior serving a suspension, Mbappé took center stage, showcasing his skill and agility. He consistently threatened Las Palmas’ defense, linking up effortlessly with Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 33rd minute. After Mbappé’s powerful shot was parried by goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, Lucas Vázquez collected the rebound and set up Brahim Díaz, who tapped the ball into an open net.

Just three minutes later, Mbappé struck again. Connecting with a precise cross from Rodrygo, he fired a first-time shot into the top corner, extending the lead to 3-1.

Rodrygo added the fourth goal in the 57th minute, finishing a rapid counter-attack that left Las Palmas scrambling. The visitors’ woes deepened when substitute Benito Ramírez received a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Vázquez in the 64th minute.

Despite easing their pace, Real Madrid continued to press, with efforts from Mbappé, Bellingham, and Federico Valverde being disallowed for offside after VAR reviews.

The victory propels Real Madrid to the top of the La Liga table with 46 points, two points ahead of rivals Atlético Madrid, who suffered a surprise defeat to Leganés. Barcelona trails in third place, seven points behind the leaders after a draw against Getafe.

After the match, Mbappé shared his delight: “It was an important win for us because we took advantage of what happened to Atlético and Barcelona. We wanted to win and we won. To concede an early goal is difficult, but the team’s reaction was brilliant. We played on attack, we looked for space, we scored a lot of goals.”

He added, “It’s a dream to play for Real and to hear the fans chant my name. I’m very happy because I’ve adapted to the team, I’m playing the way I want to play, and enjoying it again.”
