At least 16 people lost their lives and dozens were injured in two separate road accidents in Pakistan’s Sindh province, local media reported on Saturday.
In the first incident, six people died and ten others were injured when their vehicle collided with a trailer in the Nawabshah district. The crash occurred when the passenger vehicle struck the trailer, leading to a devastating impact.
Just hours later in the Khairpur district, ten more people were killed and around 30 others injured when their vehicle overturned on the national highway. The vehicle was reportedly carrying passengers when it lost control and flipped over.
Emergency services rushed to both scenes, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care. Authorities have launched investigations into both accidents to determine the causes.
Road accidents are a frequent occurrence in Pakistan, often due to factors like poor road conditions, overloading, and reckless driving. Officials are urging drivers to exercise caution to prevent further tragedies.
