Argentina Crush Brazil 4 1 After Qualifying for 2026 World Cup

Argentina Dominates Brazil 4-1 in World Cup Qualifier Showdown

Argentina delivered a stunning 4-1 victory over Brazil in a thrilling World Cup qualifying match at the Mas Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires on Tuesday. Already secured a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Argentina showcased their depth and talent despite the absence of stars Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martínez.

The home team wasted no time, with Julián Álvarez opening the scoring just four minutes into the game. Enzo Fernández doubled the lead eight minutes later, capitalizing on Brazil’s defensive struggles.

Brazil’s Matheus Cunha gave the visitors a glimmer of hope by netting a goal in the 26th minute. However, Argentina quickly responded when Alexis Mac Allister scored in the 37th minute, reigniting the fervor of the home crowd.

In the second half, Giuliano Simeone, son of Argentine football legend Diego Simeone, sealed the deal with a goal from a tight angle in the 71st minute. The emphatic win cemented Argentina’s dominance in the qualifiers.

Argentina sits atop the South American Football Confederation standings with 31 points, becoming the first team from the region to qualify for the World Cup. Brazil, currently in fourth place with 21 points, faces a tighter race alongside Uruguay and two points behind second-place Ecuador.
