IDF Strikes Kill Key Hamas Financier and Senior Militants in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday that they have killed Saeed Ahmad Abed Khudari, alleged to be a major financier for Hamas, during a strike in Gaza City on Thursday.

According to the IDF, Khudari was “a key terror financing facilitator within Hamas” and served as the head of the Al Wefaq Co. fund. This organization had been declared a terrorist entity by the Israeli government due to its involvement in funneling money to militant groups.

The military stated that Khudari had been involved in numerous financial transfers to Hamas’s military wing over the years, with his activities intensifying after the death of his brother, Hamed Khudari, in 2019. Hamed was also identified as a primary financial conduit for Hamas’s military operations.

In separate statements on Friday, the IDF reported the killings of Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Awad, a senior military commander in the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, and Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Al-Bardawil, who was allegedly involved in propaganda and psychological operations for Hamas’s military wing.

These operations come amid heightened tensions in the region following events that unfolded on October 7, 2023. The situation remains volatile as both sides engage in ongoing confrontations.

International communities are closely monitoring the developments, with calls for de-escalation to prevent further loss of life and to promote stability in the region.
