China Dominates ISSF World Cup with Five Gold Medals

Chinese shooters showcased their exceptional talent at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina, concluding the event on Thursday with an impressive haul of five gold medals. The highlight came when Ma Qianke and Zhang Yifan secured the mixed team 10m air pistol title in a thrilling finale.

The competition saw two Chinese pairs, Ma and Zhang alongside Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai, displaying outstanding form during the qualifiers. In the decisive matchup, Yao and Hu took an early lead, edging ahead 8-4 after a narrow 0.1-point victory in round six. However, Ma and Zhang mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring a combined 21 points in round 10 to tie the score at 10.

The tension escalated in round 13 when Yao and Hu posted 20.3 points. Undeterred, Ma and Zhang delivered another stellar performance with a 21-point round, clinching the title with a final score of 16-10.

China’s dominance was evident throughout the World Cup, as they topped the medal table with five golds, three silvers, and three bronzes. Their success in Buenos Aires underscores the strength and depth of Chinese shooting sports on the global stage.
