Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Friday that his country is ready to enhance its air defense capabilities by purchasing additional systems. In light of ongoing security challenges, he emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine’s defenses.
“We are prepared to invest in advanced air defense systems to protect our skies and ensure the safety of our citizens,” Zelenskyy stated. He added that discussions have been held with U.S. officials regarding potential acquisitions.
The move comes as Ukraine continues to face security threats and seeks support from international partners to bolster its defense infrastructure.
