Russia announced on Monday that it has resumed military strikes against Ukraine following the end of a 30-hour ceasefire observed during the Easter holiday. The Russian Armed Forces stated that they are continuing their special military operation after the temporary truce.
“With the end of the ceasefire, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to conduct the special military operation,” the Russian military said in a statement.
Ukrainian officials reported that drones and missiles targeted the Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions, causing concern among residents and authorities. The renewed attacks come after a brief period of calm during the Orthodox Easter celebrations.
The resumption of strikes has intensified fears of escalating conflict in the region. Communities in the affected areas are urging for de-escalation and a return to peace talks to prevent further casualties and destruction.
