Maduros Party Dominates Venezuela Elections

Maduro’s Party Sweeps Venezuela’s Elections

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s party has achieved a significant victory in the parliamentary and regional elections held on Sunday. The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) won 23 out of 24 state governor positions, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE).

The PSUV also secured 82.68% of the votes cast for National Assembly party lists, demonstrating strong support from voters. However, the CNE reported that voter turnout was just over 42% of Venezuela’s 21 million eligible voters.

The results highlight the PSUV’s dominant position in Venezuelan politics as the country continues to navigate challenges. The election outcomes may influence future policies affecting the nation’s youth and broader population.
