Dprk Blasts Us Golden Dome Missile Defense Plan As very Dangerous

DPRK Decries U.S. Missile Defense Plan as ‘Very Dangerous’

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has denounced the United States’ recent plan to establish a new missile defense system, calling it a “very dangerous” move that could escalate tensions and trigger an arms race in outer space.

Last week, U.S. President Joe Biden announced details of a multibillion-dollar initiative aimed at enhancing the country’s missile defense capabilities. The plan includes the development of advanced space-based interceptors designed to defend against ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles, as well as other emerging aerial threats. President Biden stated that the system should be operational within three years.

In a memorandum released on Monday, the DPRK described the U.S. plan as “a very dangerous threatening initiative” intended to expand American military power and facilitate offensive operations. The statement accused the U.S. of seeking global military dominance by integrating allied forces into a comprehensive missile defense network, potentially involving them in future U.S.-led military actions.

The DPRK criticized the plan as “a typical product of ‘America first,’ the height of self-righteousness, arrogance, high-handed and arbitrary practice.” It claimed that the initiative represents “an outer space nuclear war scenario supporting the U.S. strategy for unipolar domination with the preemptive establishment of an outer space-based military infrastructure.”

The memorandum warned that global security is becoming increasingly unstable due to “the U.S.’s undisguised moves for space militarization.” The DPRK urged the international community to resist these developments to prevent an escalation of tensions and to promote peace and stability.
