The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday that they conducted airstrikes on dozens of military targets in the heart of Tehran overnight. Among the targets were military industrial sites involved in missile production and the headquarters of the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND), which the IDF alleges is linked to Iran’s nuclear weapons development.
“The IDF completed a series of overnight strikes in the heart of Tehran: Dozens of targets were attacked, including military industrial sites for missile production and the SPND headquarters for research and development of the nuclear weapons project,” the IDF stated.
According to the IDF, more than 60 Air Force fighter jets participated in the operation, deploying approximately 120 munitions with precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Branch.
There has been no immediate response from Iranian authorities regarding these claims. The international community is closely monitoring the situation amid rising tensions in the region.
