IAEA Confirms No Radiation Threat at Iran’s Nuclear Sites

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that there is no radiation risk at Iran’s nuclear sites following recent concerns. In a statement posted on the X platform, the U.N. nuclear watchdog assured that there has been “no increase in off-site radiation levels” at facilities including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The IAEA added that it will provide further assessments on the situation in Iran as more information becomes available. This announcement aims to reassure both the local population and the international community about the safety of Iran’s nuclear activities.

Iran’s National Nuclear Safety System Center also reported no signs of radioactive contamination at the three locations, emphasizing that there is no danger to nearby residents. The joint confirmations from the IAEA and Iranian authorities help to alleviate fears about potential environmental and health risks.

The IAEA plays a vital role in monitoring nuclear facilities around the world to ensure compliance with safety standards and prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Its continued oversight in Iran is a key component in maintaining regional and global security.
