In the wake of ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip, residents of northern Gaza are facing an acute humanitarian crisis. With severe shortages of food and medical supplies, many locals have been forced to survive on canned food alone.
Since the beginning of October, essential aid and food relief have not reached northern Gaza, exacerbating the dire situation. Markets are bare, and prices for the limited goods available have soared beyond the reach of many families.
“We are now experiencing famine and can only live on canned food, even though it is expensive,” one resident said. “There is no hope in northern Gaza now; the crossings are not open, and people are starving.”
The conflict has resulted in thousands of casualties and the displacement of a significant portion of the population. International organizations are calling for immediate humanitarian assistance to prevent further suffering.
