Israeli Air Strike Hits Gaza Hospital Area, Dozens Injured as Medical Aid Urgently Needed

At least four Palestinians have been killed and approximately 70 others injured after an Israeli air strike on October 14 struck the tents of displaced persons near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, according to medical sources cited by the Palestinian official news agency WAFA.

The head of the emergency department at the hospital reported that most of the injured suffered severe burns. “Many of them are critically wounded and require specialized care, but we are facing a severe shortage of essential medical supplies and equipment,” he said. “We urgently hope that the Rafah border crossing will open so that international organizations can provide much-needed medical aid.”

Amani Madi, whose child was injured in the air strike, recounted the devastating experience. “Everything in our home was burned, and a missile fragment pierced my child’s body,” she said.

The escalating conflict has intensified the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with hospitals struggling to treat the growing number of casualties amidst limited resources. Medical professionals are calling on the international community to intervene and provide immediate assistance.
