Liu highlighted the remarkable results China has achieved in promoting green development, earning widespread international recognition.

Liu expressed optimism that COP29 would enhance global confidence in tackling climate challenges. He stressed the importance of upholding the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and urged developed countries to fulfill their commitments by providing financial support to help developing nations enhance their capacity to respond to climate change.

“China stands ready to work with the international community to uphold multilateralism, ensure fairness and justice in climate governance, and contribute to the success of COP29,” Liu noted.
