Bayern Munich secured a crucial 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Champions League, thanks to a decisive goal by South Korean defender Kim Min-jae.
The match kicked off with high intensity as Bayern created early chances through Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane. PSG responded with opportunities of their own, but neither Ousmane Dembele nor Joao Neves could beat Bayern’s goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
In the 38th minute, Kim Min-jae capitalized on a mishandled corner by PSG’s keeper Matvei Safonov, heading the ball into the net to put Bayern ahead.
The situation worsened for PSG when Dembele received a second yellow card for a reckless tackle in the 57th minute, reducing his team to ten men. With the advantage, Bayern intensified their attack, and Kingsley Coman came close to doubling the lead.
Despite PSG’s efforts, they couldn’t find an equalizer. The victory boosts Bayern’s chances for automatic qualification to the last 16, while PSG faces an uphill battle with only three matches remaining in the group stage.
Bayern now looks ahead to their upcoming matches against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, riding a wave of confidence from their seventh consecutive win and clean sheet.
