Xi Jinping’s Discourses on Natural Resources Published in New Book

A new book compiling the discourses of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on natural resources has been published by the Central Party Literature Press. The collection features 286 excerpts from over 150 important speeches and writings by Xi between December 2012 and October 2024, some of which are being made public for the first time.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, under Xi Jinping’s leadership, China has strengthened the management of its natural resources. The nation has optimized its framework for territorial space development and protection, promoting holistic conservation and systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, lakes, grasslands, and deserts.

Xi’s insights are significant for improving China’s property rights and management systems for natural resource assets. They support high-quality development with high-level protection, striving to achieve a form of modernization where humanity and nature coexist in harmony.

Organized into eight themes, the book offers valuable perspectives on environmental conservation and sustainable development. It underscores China’s commitment to ecological preservation and provides guidance for building a beautiful country for future generations.
