Two New Pandas Set to Meet the Public in Hong Kong

Two Adorable Pandas Set to Captivate Hong Kong at Ocean Park

Hong Kong is buzzing with excitement as two giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, are set to make their public debut at Ocean Park this Sunday, December 8. The five-year-old pandas, one male and one female, arrived from mainland China on September 26 as a gift from the Central Government to commemorate the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China.

The pair, both born in June 2019, have joined the city’s beloved panda family, which includes Ying Ying, Le Le, and their newborn twins. The arrival of An An and Ke Ke has sparked "Pandamonium" across Hong Kong, with panda-themed events and art exhibitions popping up around the city to celebrate these adorable new residents.

Ocean Park is preparing for an influx of visitors eager to catch a glimpse of the playful duo. "We are thrilled to welcome An An and Ke Ke to their new home," said a park spokesperson. "Their presence brings joy and inspires a deeper appreciation for wildlife conservation among our guests."

Hong Kong residents are eagerly anticipating the pandas’ debut. "I can’t wait to see them!" exclaimed 18-year-old student Lisa Wong. "Pandas are so cute, and it’s amazing that we get to have more of them here."

The addition of An An and Ke Ke not only enriches the city’s attractions but also emphasizes the importance of wildlife conservation and education. As the "Pandamonium" continues, Hong Kong is embracing the pandas with open arms and hearts.
