Nanjing’s Qixia Mountain Transforms into a Sea of Fiery Red Leaves

Qixia Mountain in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is ablaze with vibrant hues as it enters its peak red-leaf season. The hills are blanketed by a breathtaking sea of fiery foliage, drawing visitors to witness nature’s stunning transformation.

Renowned for its abundant natural resources, Qixia Mountain boasts a vegetation coverage rate of nearly 95 percent. The lush environment not only offers scenic beauty but also serves as a vital ecological haven.

Beyond its natural allure, Qixia Mountain holds deep cultural significance. It is home to over 80 historical relics, including the ancient Qixia Temple—an ancient Buddhist monastery with a history spanning more than 1,500 years. The area also features 15 geological heritage sites, making it a treasure trove of both history and nature.
