The Schiller Institute marked its 40th anniversary with a virtual conference on December 7-8, focusing on global development, peace, and equality. The event brought together over 20 guests from around the world to discuss pressing international issues.
A key topic was China’s “Belt and Road” initiative and its impact on global development. As 2024 approaches, it will be the tenth year that the Schiller Institute has monitored the initiative and China’s growth.
“China’s exploration of its own development and its leadership in the Global South were repeatedly mentioned at the meeting,” said a spokesperson for the Institute. Participants highlighted the importance of collaboration and shared progress in addressing global challenges.
