Egypt’s President Sisi Discusses Gaza Ceasefire with Top U.S. Officials

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi met with top U.S. officials on Saturday in Cairo to discuss efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza. According to the president’s office, talks also focused on a potential hostages-for-prisoners exchange in the Palestinian enclave.

The U.S. delegation included National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Middle East envoy Brett McGurk. Their visit highlights the ongoing international efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
