Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević couldn’t hide his admiration for China’s rapid development during his visit to Shanghai for the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). In an exclusive interview with CMG’s He Yanke, Vučević praised China’s achievements, stating that “socialism with Chinese characteristics has yielded remarkable results.”
He highlighted the strong historical ties between Serbia and China, emphasizing how both nations have stood by each other in challenging times. Vučević noted that Serbia has greatly benefited from China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has bolstered his country’s socioeconomic development.
“We’re eager to strengthen our partnership with China,” Vučević said. “Our ‘Leap into the Future’ vision aligns with China’s development strategies, opening new avenues of cooperation.”
The Prime Minister expressed optimism about the recently signed bilateral free trade agreement under the BRI framework. He believes this agreement will boost trade, allowing Serbia to export its specialty products to the vast Chinese market.
“Closer exchanges with China will not only enhance our economies but also deepen the friendship between our peoples,” Vučević added.
As the world watches China’s expanding global influence, Serbia is positioning itself as a key partner, ready to embrace the opportunities that come with stronger ties.
