Parry Ends 14 year Wait for 2nd Dp World Tour Win at Mauritius Open

John Parry Ends 14-Year Wait with Mauritius Open Triumph

England’s John Parry has finally broken his 14-year drought by securing his second DP World Tour win at the Mauritius Open. Playing at the Mont Choisy Le Golf in Grand Baie, Parry started the final round five shots behind the leader.

In a remarkable performance, the 38-year-old golf veteran carded an impressive 64, featuring an eagle, seven birdies, and just one bogey. This stellar round set the clubhouse target at 14 under par, putting pressure on the competition.

Parry faced an anxious wait as third-round co-leader Dylan Naidoo of South Africa played his final holes. Naidoo needed an eagle to force a playoff but couldn’t deliver, allowing Parry to celebrate his long-awaited victory.

Fellow South Africans Dylan Naidoo and Christo Lamprecht finished tied for second place, just two shots behind Parry.

“It’s massive,” Parry said after his win. “I was back on the EuroPro Tour and close to giving up golf after winning when I was 23 out here. So it’s been a long battle back, but worth every moment for this, this week.”

Parry’s previous tour-level victory came at the Vivendi Cup in France in September 2010, when he was in his early twenties. His win at the Mauritius Open marks a significant comeback in his golfing career.
