As 2024 draws to a close, a global social media campaign titled “1,001 Wishes for 2025 #Hello2025” has been launched, inviting people worldwide to share their hopes for the coming year. Hamza Abbas, a young man from Syria, dreams of returning to university to continue his studies, which were interrupted 14 years ago.
Hamza’s aspirations go beyond his personal education. He envisions Syria becoming a key hub in the Middle East, developing its economy, and serving as a vital link between Europe and the Gulf countries. “I hope to see my country thrive and connect nations economically,” he shared.
The campaign, accessible in 81 languages, has sparked a wave of optimism among youths globally. For many like Hamza, 2025 symbolizes a fresh start and the possibility of positive change.
