China Vows to Boost Asia-Pacific Trade Under RCEP

Beijing, China — China has announced its commitment to fully implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and promote free trade in the Asia-Pacific region. This initiative aims to achieve common development and prosperity among member nations.

Celebrating its third anniversary, the RCEP stands as the world’s largest free trade agreement, covering the biggest population and trade scale with immense growth potential. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning highlighted the agreement’s impact at a recent press briefing.

"The RCEP has injected strong vitality into regional economic integration in the Asia-Pacific, brought market opportunities to member economies, and boosted the international community’s confidence in multilateralism," Mao Ning stated.

A study by the Asian Development Bank suggests that the RCEP could contribute $245 billion to economic growth and create 2.8 million jobs across the region. China’s dedication to the RCEP underscores its role in fostering regional cooperation and economic development.
