Paris, France — France’s Foreign Minister, Catherine Colonna, has reiterated her country’s call for a sovereign, stable, and peaceful Syria. Speaking at a recent press conference, Colonna emphasized the importance of finding a political solution to the ongoing conflict that has devastated the nation for over a decade.
“The Syrian people have suffered immensely,” Colonna stated. “It is imperative that all parties come together to foster a future that is sovereign, stable, and peaceful for Syria.”
France has been actively involved in international efforts to address the humanitarian crisis and support diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the conflict. The French government continues to advocate for a resolution in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254, which calls for a ceasefire and political settlement in Syria.
Continued Support for Humanitarian Aid
Colonna highlighted France’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons. “We stand with the Syrian people and will continue to support efforts to alleviate their suffering,” she said.
International Collaboration
France is working closely with European Union partners and the international community to address the complexities of the Syrian conflict. Collaborative efforts focus on combating terrorism, supporting refugees, and promoting human rights in the region.
“A united international response is crucial,” Colonna added. “Only through cooperation can we hope to achieve lasting peace in Syria.”
