With less than a month to go before the Asian Winter Games kick off in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China has unveiled the stylish new uniforms athletes will wear during the medal ceremonies.
Olympic freestyle skiing aerials champion Xu Mengtao was among the athletes who showcased the outfits during a dynamic runway show. The uniforms embrace a “snow and ice romance” theme, featuring an underlaid red snowflake pattern symbolizing the athletes’ determination.
The indoor attire boasts China’s first self-developed high-performance waterproof and moisture-permeable material, designed to keep athletes warm and comfortable. The outdoor outfits include a body microclimate adjustment system that stores and conducts heat, ensuring optimal temperature regulation.
“These clothes use waterproof and moisture-permeable material, offering professional performance in windproofing, waterproofing, and quick-drying,” said short track speed skater Liu Guanyi. “This design is amazing—we athletes like it very much, and I really want to be able to show it on the podium at the Asian Winter Games.”
